Friedhats - Illubabor Forest
Gesha Village is a renowned farm project in Bench Maji dedicated to producing gesha in its birthplace. Understood to be the source of what was exported and cultivated across the world as gesha, and especially the renowned Panama gesha, Gori Gesha Forest is one of the most significant locales in coffee history.
At Gesha Village (GV from here on out) there is one other variety produced, which also originates in the Gori Gesha Forest- the Illubabor Forest variety. Taken during an expedition by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center in 1974.
This coffee delivers everything there is to love about the fruitiness and depth of an Ethiopia natural, with the complex florals typically found in coffees from GV. If you are a fan of Ethiopian coffees, this is an absolute must-try.
