Right of Withdrawal (Angrerett)

Under Norwegian law (Angrerettloven), consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day they receive their goods.

Important: Coffee and Food Products Are Exempt

In accordance with Section 22 of the Angrerettloven, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Goods that deteriorate or expire quickly

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, once the seal has been broken

As a result, coffee and other food products are not eligible for return. If you have any issues with your order, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Non-Food Items

For non-food items such as merchandise or equipment, the standard 14-day withdrawal period applies:

To exercise your right of withdrawal:

  1. Contact us within 14 days of receiving the goods at post@microkaffi.com

  2. State your order number and the items you wish to return

  3. We will provide return instructions

Conditions for returns:

  • Items must be unused and in original condition

  • Items must be in original packaging

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs

Refund process:

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods

  • We refund the original purchase price to your original payment method

  • Original shipping costs are refunded only if you return the entire order

Defective Products

If you receive a defective product, you are protected by the Norwegian Consumer Purchase Act (Forbrukerkjøpsloven).

What Counts as a Defect?

A product is defective if it:

  • Does not match the product description

  • Is damaged upon arrival

  • Has quality issues not caused by normal use

  • Does not function as expected

How to Report a Defect

  1. Contact us as soon as possible at post@microkaffi.com

  2. Include your order number

  3. Describe the defect

  4. Attach photos or videos if applicable

Complaint Deadlines

  • Initial notification: You must report defects within a reasonable time, but no later than 2 months from when you discovered or should have discovered the defect.

  • Overall claim period: 2 years from purchase for standard products. 5 years for products intended to last significantly longer.

Your Remedies for Defective Products

Depending on the nature and severity of the defect, you may request:

  1. Repair or Replacement: We will repair or replace the defective product at no cost to you.

  2. Price Reduction: If repair or replacement is not possible, you may be entitled to a price reduction.

  3. Cancellation: For significant defects, you may cancel the purchase and receive a full refund.

We cover all costs related to remedying defects, including return shipping for defective items.

Coffee Quality Concerns

We take pride in our coffee quality. If you believe there is an issue with your coffee:

  • Roasting defects: Contact us with photos and we will replace the product

  • Shipping damage: Contact us immediately with photos of the damaged packaging and product

  • Taste preferences: Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for taste preferences, as this is subjective and coffee is exempt from the right of withdrawal

Subscription Cancellation

If you have a coffee subscription:

  • You may cancel at any time with no penalty

  • Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle

  • No refunds for already-shipped subscription orders

  • Cancel via your account or by contacting us at post@microkaffi.com

Refund Processing

  • Method: Refunds are returned to your original payment method

  • Timeline: Within 14 days of receiving returned goods (for eligible returns)

  • Defective products: Processed as quickly as possible after verification
