Manhattan - Shyira
The Shyira coffee is named after the Shyira Coffee Washing Station, which showcases the resilience and potential of coffee farming in Nyabihu. This region is known for producing some of Rwanda’s most unique and sought-after specialty coffees.
These washed Red Bourbon coffee beans are grown in the high mountains at an elevation of 1,850 to 2,300 masl. Nyabihu, often referred to as the “place of darkness,” earned its name due to its frequent heavy cloud cover and intense rainy seasons.
In 2016, Karthick and Gaudam, two brothers with a vision, founded Muraho with a clear mission: to redefine how coffee is cultivated, elevate its quality to exceptional levels, and, crucially, ensure that the farmers producing it benefit in meaningful ways.
You can expect tasting notes of sweet orange, redcurrant, and rooibos, all complemented by a juicy mouthfeel. Shyira coffee is available in both espresso and filter options!
